Mission
Shine A Light is an organization committed to raising awareness about, preventing and rehabilitating survivors of sex abuse and trafficking. Shine a Light arose out of the desire to help raise funds, so our partner non-profits can focus more of their energy on providing prevention education, free resources and rehabilitation for individuals who have been sexually abused or trafficked.
Leadership
Executive Director
Courtney Dukelow
Courtney is dedicated to helping individuals find resources and support after debilitating experiences of sexual violence. 20 years as a licensed massage therapist, specializing in trauma-informed care, has put her in direct contact with the need of survivors of sexual violence. Her other work history includes community outreach, event planning, grassroots marketing and funding. As a writer and blogger for the Huffington Post and other social media outlets, she finds her creative inspiration in writing about overlooked stories of human hardship that glisten with wisdom, inspiration and hope. Her life and work experience are guided by the philosophy that as a community, we are as strong as our weakest link. She is committed to using her skills, work and experience to support our partner organizations at Shine a Light and their essential service in our communities.
